Where do I even start? We were expecting Aubrey to arrive on October 1, 2021 but due to severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome she came early at 32 weeks. We are so blessed and excited to have her and it’s been a fast 3.5 months getting to know her. She hit all her milestones in the NICU and was able to come home within a month. Today she continues to thrive. Sleep, eat, play – that’s the name of the game. Life has already improved because of her. We were able to get a new car, make apartment improvements, and I am cooking more for the family. My husband has been a big support and he’s a great dad to Aubrey.

After having severe Preeclampsia, my maternity leave has been longer than I wanted it to be, but I’m slowly getting back into my career. I miss working the familiarity that it brings to my life, but I also love giving 100% of my attention to Aubrey; so I’m still in a bit of a transitional period and there are a lot of things to think about.

Speaking of change, I will be raising my rack rate to a rate that more accurately reflects the value of working with me, which isn’t only about my formal training, refined execution, versatile experience behind my work; but also in my communication, dependability, and organization among many other professional traits. I am very open to retainer agreements as well.

I hope everyone has a great start to their holiday season and steps into a new year with space for better things to come.
